SASAI Pre-Christmas Celebration 2026 Raffle for a Cause

1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit this raffle website or buy a ticket. SASAI conducts the raffle and is responsible for winner notification, prize fulfilment and NSW community-gaming records. Solar Orbis Pty Ltd provides the website and checkout software. Solar Orbis never holds your money — card payments go directly to SASAI’s own Stripe account.

2. What we collect

• When you buy a ticket: name, email address, mobile number, and the number of tickets purchased.
• When you pay: Stripe collects your card details. Neither SASAI nor Solar Orbis stores your full card number.
• When you use the site: basic technical logs such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, used to keep the site secure and working.
• If you email or chat: the contact details and message you choose to send. The on-site raffle guide is for general questions about this raffle only — do not send card numbers or identity documents through it.

We do not ask for date of birth, address or marketing preferences unless they are needed later to verify a winner or deliver a prize.

3. Why we collect it

• to issue your e-ticket and receipt;
• to enter you in the draw and contact you if you win;
• to process your payment through Stripe;
• to meet NSW community-gaming record-keeping and claim rules; and
• to keep the website secure and diagnose faults.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for unrelated marketing. You will only receive campaign updates from SASAI if you separately ask for them.

4. Who we share it with

• Stripe — to take payment into SASAI’s Stripe account.
• Solar Orbis Pty Ltd — to operate the website and send transactional email (receipts and e-tickets) on SASAI’s behalf.
• Hosting and email providers used to run the site, limited to what is needed to deliver the service.
• NSW authorities if we are legally required to provide records.

Winner names may be published on this page and SASAI’s Facebook, as stated in the raffle terms. We will not publish your email or phone number.

5. Storage and security

Information is stored in Australia where practicable (including Sydney-region cloud services) and transmitted over HTTPS. Access is limited to people who need it to run this raffle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

6. How long we keep it

Ticket-buyer and raffle financial records are retained for at least seven years as a conservative NSW record-keeping baseline, including in deletion-protected evidence storage, and are then deleted or de-identified when no longer required. Payment records retained by Stripe follow Stripe’s own retention rules.

7. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask SASAI for a copy of the personal information it holds about you, or ask for it to be corrected, by emailing info@sasai.org.au. For questions about how the website itself handles data, contact Solar Orbis via raffle.solarorbis.com.

If you are not satisfied with how a privacy complaint is handled, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

8. Cookies

This site uses only cookies and similar storage that are needed for the page to work (for example, remembering the ticket pack you selected). It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
